Designed to hang either way, A World turned Upside Down, is two incredibly detailed pieces in one. This piece started with an old casement window scavenged out of a century old house. The vibrant paint has been applied in reverse on multiple layers of transluscent material. The painting is then combined with a layered mixed media construction and molded and painted clay objects to create a diorama-like wall hanging with real depth and amazing detail. Funny and sad, black and white, up and down, male and female, the piece is a duality, good and bad, beautiful and ugly, Lies and Truth, Life and Death.
